The Nightingale Lane Petition

We presented our petition to Councillor Sarah McDermott. Both our local MP's, Sadiq Khan(Tooting) and Martin Linton (Battersea) joined us to show their support. The petition has now been handed over to Wandsworth Council. Meanwhile we will keep up the pressure and await the Council's response in September. A huge thank you to everyone who signed the petition! We will keep you updated on progress - please check here for latest details.

Martin Linton MP (Battersea) and Sadiq Khan MP (Tooting) show their support for our Campaign.

Martin Linton, MP for Battersea, Balham & Wandsworth said "It's incredible the noise that building lorries make when they go hurtling over speed bumps at six in the morning. The bumps are supposed to slow lorries down, but they go over at full pelt. We need a new approach. I'm afraid Wandsworth will have to start listening to local people on this one."

Sadiq Khan MP said, "I have every sympathy with residents of Nightingale Lane, whose lives have been made a misery. The Council doesn’t seem to understand that heavy vehicles and speedy cars are causing a real nuisance to residents. The Council must urgently review the traffic calming measures on Nightingale Lane. Action needs to be taken now."
